Is it fair to say that all colours are season specific, or are suited only to one hair colour, skin colour or eye colour?  Is it possible that one can use every colour of the rainbow, assuming the right tones have been chosen?

A firm believer in this, whilst I’d love to wear grass green tops and scarves, I know that I can only where yucky manky khakis and sludges, but the same isn’t true of cosmetics.  As long as the base tone is right, you can wear any shade you like!  Not sure if you’re better with a golden green or a silver green, swipe some colour on your thumb pad and hold that over your eyelid, where you’d put eyeshadow, and you’ll get a good idea of whether it will suit you or not.

However, that’s just for ‘wearable’ day makeup.  For night time, take it to town, add some black shadow or black liner, with a bright green liner or shadow if you’re not confident enough for an all-green look.  Over lay your nail polish with a shimmer if a matte green is a little too much for your school-run-Mum-chums.

Remember, you can always wash it off, its only makeup…

OCC – Lip Tar in Botanical.

Perhaps not the most wearable shade of lipstick, it is a colour that may well be useful in your kit.  Simply to have as a mixing agent.  Green mixes with other colour remarkably well.  Add it to a hot pink to deepen the body of that pink, or add to a coral for a more mysterious shade.

Bvlgari – Omnia Green Jade

A crisp floral scent with hints of pear and pistachios, a lovely light spring fragrance.

Marks & Spencer – Essential Colours Liquid Eyeliner in Sea Green

Perfect budget priced, yet quality, eyeliner in on trend green!

Estee Lauder – Pure Colour Eyeshadow in Ivy Envy

One of my favourites from the Pure Colour Collection, this true deep ivy green is just wonderful on blue eyes to really make them a focus of your face.  One swipe across the mobile lid, a slick of black liquid liner across the top and some rich black mascara, and that’s enough to make a statement.

Illamasqua - Cream Pigment in Bedaub

From the newly released Toxic Nature Collection, Bedaub is a creamy water resistant pigment that blends on finger light, but sets to budgeproof.  In a gentle pastel green, one for light summer days with a splash of mascara, or as an accent to something wildly diverse that only your imagination can conjur.

LUSH – Bath Ballistic in Avobath.

Zingy and fresh, light and fruity, drop one of these into your bath and you’ll feel light as a feather and full of energy.  Trust me, I’ve been bombing my bath with these for years!

Myroo – Uplifting Bath Fizz in Mint Tea

As a new convert to the Myroo products, with my daily love of the Citrus Fizz, the Mint Fizz is just as nice.  A true scent of mint, with the delicate fizz that tingles gently if you hop in too soon…  But it leaves you feeling revitalised and refreshed, and ready for the day.

Illamasqua – Liquid Metal in Stoic

One of the most pure emerald green metals seen on the market, this truly is like molten metal.  Not for the feint-hearted, this is one for die hard cosmetics fans, but once you’ve dipped and tried, you’ll reach for it again and again.

Estee Lauder – Nail Lacquer in Wicked Green

Part of the new collection of nail lacquers and lipsticks, Wicked Green is so perfectly wicked that you’d have to just slip it into your shopping basket.  Even if you don’t think you’re a green nail kind of girl.  With this, you really will be.  Rich and deep and true.

Lancome Colour Focus Wet Dry Quad in 105 Renaissance Printaniere

Lancome make some of the most well thought out quads around.  Even when the colours look like they’re going to clash, they just seem to work.  And when they meld together like this one does, magic happens.  Where 1, 2 or all of the colours together, let this be a chance for you to flex your artistic wings.

Illamasqua – False Eyelashes No23

Perhaps an all green eyeshadow look is too much for you.  Go for a JessieJ inspired black shadow, but vamp it further with some false lashes from Illamasqua, number 23 are black with streaks of green lashes put in for a wow pop of colour.

Paul & Joe – Nail Enamel in Dapple

Grab yours quickly, this is a limited edition colour for spring, but so so perfect for this time of year.  And what a fantastic name, Dapple.  Just perfect for dreaming up images of the glimpses of sun through curtains

Clinique – Colour Surge Soft Shimmer Shadow in KeyLime Pie

A shadow packed full of intensity, but with a formulation that’s very easily blendable.  If you’re planning your first foray into ‘coloured’ makeup, you can’t really go too far wrong with clinique.  If you get too much on there, just blend it away!

Illamasqua – Nail Polish in MILF and Smash

Too many to choose from, including the new Radium from Toxic Nature, we’ve chosen MILF a soft pastel mint green and Smash a vibrant Grass Green.

BalmBalm – Single Note Perfume in Peppermint.

This is not like chewing gum, its not like breath freshener, its like nothing you can imagine until you smell it. Its light and fresh and makes you feel ‘clean’ for want of a better description.  Its my favourite of all of BalmBalm’s single note perfumes.

Ciate – Paint Pot Nail Enamel in Stiletto

A deep rich forest green, this is a two coat polish, perfect for a change of colour (a change of mood?!) in one quick swipe.

Benefit – Lust Duster in Moon Doggie

Soft and gentle, this is a colour vaguely reminiscent of the moon’s green cheese! A bizarre comparison, but the perfect description for this oh so soft green.  Wear it alone as a wash of colour or add a gentle mushroom brown for an ethereal springtime look.

Eyeslices Professional

Reduce dark circles, redness, wrinkles, puffiness and under eye bags and in just five minutes, your eyes will look restored

Rouge Bunny Rouge – Whispering Ibis

A deep mossy green with golden shimmer, a perfectly blendable shade.  Pack it on strong, and feather out the edges, or go for drama and use it as a controur shade with a paler toning golden green.

Face Stockholm – Matte Shadow in Skon

Proud to boast of many different greens in their matte range, including the ever-so-bright Noisy and Whisper, I’ve chosen Skon as the most versatile and daily-wearable shade!

BalmBalm – Face Balm

Simply gentle and simply nourishing.  The everything-treatment for skin, even the most sensitive.  With Shea butter, sunflower, beeswax, jojoba & calendula, its one of those go to products when you just need a bit of comfort.

Leighton Denny – Inside Scoop (SS11)

From the hotly awaited Gelato collection, the range of Italian Ice Desert inspired polishes includes the cool mint ice shade of Inside Scoop.  Wearable and on trend in one handy bottle?  Yes please!

Urban Decay – 24/7 Shadow Pencil in Clinic and Narc.

The chunkier sister to the 24/7 liner pencil, the shadow pencil is just as inspiring, just as fun, and just as long wearing.  There are 2 greens in this first collection, Clinic, a forest green with a green sparkle and Narc, a more mossy khaki green.

Clinique – AntiAging duo, SuperDefense Moisturiser and Super Rescue Night Cream.

These are a pair of restorative moisturisers, rich for day, but not so rich you can’t apply makeup, and super rich for night.  Exactly as treatment products should be.
